The Coreto garden is the oldest public garden in Tavira. It was created in 1890 and the bandstand (coreto), built in iron, was ordered from Oporto.

Saint John's Co-Cathedral was commissioned by Grand Master Jean de la Cassière and built as the conventual church for the Knights of Saint John, between 1573 and 1578. "Amuados" Garden, Loulé, Portugal

The garden was built at the end of the 19th century, on the site of an old cemetery attached to the church of São Clemente. In 1948 it was established that it would be called "amuados" (sulky, grumpy) because of how the benches are placed. From the garden, you can enjoy a splendid panoramic view of Loulé and the church of Nossa Senhora da Piedade .

Saint Minas Cathedral, Heraklion, Greece

The cathedral of Saint Minas started being built in 1862. Built during difficult times- construction was even interrupted in 1866 due to the Cretan Revolution- it was greatly due to the enthusiastic support of the Heraklion people that the building was concluded in 1895. Despite Crete still being under Turkish rule, celebrations lasted for three days.  Saint Minas is the patron saint of Heraklion and the original church built in his honour still stands right beside the cathedral. Grote Markt, Antwerp

The land where the Grote Markt stands was donated to the city in 1220 by Duke Henry I of Brabant. Soon after the first annual markets, also known as the Brabant Fairs, were organised. At the end of the 15th centuryAntwerp became the most prominent city of the Low Countries, with merchants arriving from England, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the Northern German Hanseatic cities. The centrepiece of the square is a large fountain, known as the Brabo Fountain. It was built in 1887 and according to legend, Brabo was a local hero who killed the giant Antigoon and cut off his head and hands. The giant was demanding a high toll to each ship that wanted to enter the city. The square is surrounded by 16th-century Guildhalls, restaurants and cafes. In Winter it hosts the Christmas Market and an ice rink.
