Science Museum, Barcelona, Spain

The CosmoCaixa Science Museum opened in 2005 in a building from the beginning of the 20th century which is an example of modernist architecture. This museum has a hands-on approach, where lots of experiences can be tried out.
The highlights of this museum are the Flooded Forest, which recreates an amazonian rain forest with piranhas, crocodiles and other animals and plants from that ecosystem, and the Planetarium, which exhibits a series of short 3D movies.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; closed on January 1st and 6th and on December 25th;

Entrance fee: General €4; Planetarium €4 (free admission for under 16s)
