Catacombs of Paris, France

The Catacombs of Paris are underground ossuaries that hold the remains of over 6 million people, transferred in the 18th century to what was once a quarry, for sanitary reasons.

Timetable: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. (last admission 7.30 p.m.)

Closed on Mondays, May 1 and August 15
Ticket (standard): €12 (€16 together with the Archaeological Crypt)
