Barcelona City History Museum, Spain

The museum is dedicated to the history of the city of Barcelona, since its origins, as the Roman colony of Barcino, to the present day.
The Museum opened on the 14th of April of 1943 and its original headquarters are in Plaza del Rey, in the Gothic Quarter. The most impressive feature of the museum's headquarters is an archaeological underground of the ancient and early medieval city.
Gradually the museum incorporated new sites like the Temple of Augustus or the Roman funeral way in Vila de Madrid Square. The museum now includes several sites of interest.

Opening hours: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., closed on Mondays.
Entrance fee: €7
